We provide consultancy services, as well as staff training, to support your company with the movement of dangerous goods, and to meet the legislative requirements for a designated Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).

CONSULTANCY SERVICES

Pentagon Training UK, part of Pentagon Freight Services PLC, offers DGSA consultancy services. These services review and continually monitor your entire dangerous goods operation.

As part of our service, we offer our DGSA consultancy, which includes:

Monitoring compliance throughout cover period and advising on any updates or changes to legislative requirements.
Initial site audit and report – advising on all classes being regularly handled and transported from your facilities through to the review of staff training and emergency reporting procedures
Assisting with the investigation of any accidents or infringements of regulations and reporting direct to DfT
Telephone and email support for your team’s daily interaction with dangerous goods
Preparing an annual report complete with recommendations to help address any gaps found throughout cover period

TRAINING

If your business consigns, transports, packs, fills, loads, or unloads dangerous goods on a regular basis by road, rail or inland waterway, you must appoint a dangerous goods safety advisor (DGSA)

The DGSA is responsible for helping to prevent the risks inherent in the carriage of dangerous goods, specifically the risk to people, property and the environment.

It is an employer’s responsibility to decide whether to train and appoint one of their own staff or appoint a third-party to act as their DGSA
